the story
“Promise” will be my second EP album which will feature 5 tracks - a compilation of my encounters with God’s love, mercy and faithfulness over the years.
The title track of the album, “Promise” came from an encounter that I had with the Lord several years ago, when I was in a painful season of my life. At the time it felt like every single dream and prophetic word that I had received over my life was dying. Things were going the opposite direction.
I was at a prayer meeting and had asked for prayer. And the prophet who was praying for me asked the lady next to him to put her hand on my womb. At that moment, I felt the presence of God in a way that I never had before and fell on the floor without anyone pushing me. Later on, God revealed to me that He was keeping those promises safe in His hands. He is the ultimate Promise.
My prayer is that through this song and this album that those grappling with broken promises and dreams in their own lives, would find their encouragement and hope in the Promise keeper.
Jake Fretz and I are collaborating on this song and it is already in the works. We are so excited to share this song with you.

Since 2017, God has richly blessed our family with opportunities to fund most of the songs that I’ve released until this point. There are several songs that were gifts from other people – either in cash donations or free (good quality) production! So I am so grateful for God’s faithfulness.
In 2024, as a family we are unable to pour in as much as we have in the past. And so to make up for this gap I applied for 2 songwriting/music government grants in 2023. They are extremely competitive and hard to get because they focus on the artist’s upward momentum in their music career (# of followers, music sales, charting on the radio, tour dates booked). But my rationale and thinking into applying for these grants was “Nothing is impossible with God!” And why not have the government sponsor a project where the gospel is being preached, where the message of hope through Jesus is being proclaimed – rather than funding other projects that don’t spread that same message.

But unfortunately, I just got news several weeks ago that I did NOT get the grants. And then I also got the news that one of my vocal students that was consistently taking lessons each week for several years (this helped to fund my music endeavors) would no longer be taking lessons (if you are interested in taking vocal lessons please let me know, I’d love to chat with you!).
So that is why I am reaching out to you (and doing the crowdfunding thing) to see if the Lord wants to provide through your generosity and your belief in what the Lord is doing through my life and music.
I am trying to raise $10,000 to release a 5 track EP album. One of the tracks, “Promise” is already in the production phase.
All the funds raised will be used towards production, mixing and mastering the songs, graphic design, photography, marketing, distribution and communication
